100 Women Who Care Donates over $13,000 to Stone Soup Project
At the February Giving Circle, 100 Women Who Care Waukesha County decided to support the Stone Soup Project. On March 18, Kathy Conrad delivered checks to the parking lot on Main Street in Waukesha, where evening meals are served at 4:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to members of the community. On May 20, Maureen Dunne will share how the funds totaling over $13,000 will be used.
Since the Waukesha Chapter of 100 Women Who Care was founded eleven years ago, the group has donated over $300,000 to Waukesha County charities. If you can dedicate just one hour four times a year and offer a $100 donation each time, consider becoming part of the power of collective giving. New members are also welcome to join as part of teams of 2 for $50 each quarter, or if under 30 with a $30 contribution four times a year.
Currently, four LAUNCH students are working with 100 Women Who Care Waukesha County to help elevate the 30 Under 30 Program. LAUNCH is an educational mentorship program through the Elmbrook School District that helps students explore different career paths while learning life skills through group projects. In four weeks, the team has generated engagement on social media platforms like Instagram and designed original logo options. The team is promoting 100 Women Who Care Waukesha County’s May 20 meeting to generate awareness among young women ages 16-29.
Potential members are invited to come to the May 20 Giving Circle held at Tuscan Hall in Waukesha. For more information, visit the 100 Women Who Care Waukesha County website: https://www.100womenwhocarewaukesha.com/ To RSVP for May 20, contact Laura Campbell at 100wwcwaukeshacounty@gmail.com.
